Thank you for choosing Files Forge, a secure vault for your personal files. This Privacy Policy explains how SeekerWare Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application, Files Forge (the "App").

Your privacy and the security of your data are the foundation of this App. Please read this policy carefully.

Our Core Privacy Philosophy: Zero-Knowledge and Local-First

Files Forge is designed from the ground up to be a private, secure space for your data. Our core principles are:

• Local-First: All of your files (photos, videos, documents, and notes) are stored directly on your device. They are never sent to our servers.
• Zero-Knowledge Encryption: Every file you add to the App is encrypted on your device using military-grade AES-256-GCM encryption. The encryption keys are stored securely in your device's hardware keychain (Hardware TEE). We, SeekerWare Inc., do not have the keys and cannot access, view, or decrypt your files. Ever.

Information We Collect

We collect very little information, and we do not collect any of your personal files.

1. Information You Provide to Us:

• Your Encrypted Content: We do not collect or have access to the photos, videos, documents, or notes you store in the App. This content is encrypted and remains solely on your device unless you choose to use the Cloud Backup feature.
• Google Account Information (Optional): If you choose to use the Cloud Backup & Restore feature, you will be asked to link your Google Account. We will receive your email address from Google, which is used only to display which account is linked within the App's settings screen. We do not store this information on our servers.

2. Information Collected Automatically:

• Anonymous Update Check Data: To check for new versions of the App, it makes a request to our server (https://filesforge.com/version.json). This request contains non-personal, standard technical information, such as your device's IP address and app version, which is necessary for the network connection to function. We do not log or store this information.

How We Use Your Information

We only use the information we have access to for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the App: To allow you to securely store and manage your encrypted files on your device.
• To Enable Cloud Backup & Restore (Optional): To facilitate the secure transfer of your encrypted vault from your device directly to your personal Google Drive account.
• To Check for App Updates: To inform you when a new version of Files Forge is available.

Data Storage, Security, and Retention

All your vault content is stored and encrypted locally on your device's internal storage. The security of your data is protected by the encryption standard AES-256-GCM and the security of your device's hardware.

If you uninstall the App, all encrypted files and the associated database stored by the App on your device will be permanently deleted.

Cloud Backup & Restore (Google Drive)

The Cloud Backup feature is entirely optional. If you choose to use it:

• Your entire vault is zipped and encrypted on your device before it is uploaded.
• The encrypted zip file is transferred directly from your device to your own personal Google Drive account. We do not act as an intermediary and never have access to this data.
• You are responsible for managing the security of your Google Account.
• Restoring a backup requires access to your Google Account and your 32-character Master Recovery Key. We do not have a copy of your Master Recovery Key. If you lose it, your cloud backup cannot be decrypted.
• Your use of Google Drive is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service:

• Google Sign-In and Google Drive API: Used solely for the optional Cloud Backup & Restore feature. By using this feature, you agree to be bound by the Google Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Files Forge is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
